Respite
Respite
The definition of respite is a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant. The word comes from the latin for refuge and consideration.
A Spectrum of Care is able to give caregivers a time of refuge and relief from their duties. This can be a couple of hours to a weekend or even longer perhaps a short vacation. It allows caregivers to take care of themselves after caring for a loved one 24/7 with a chronic or debilitating disease.
This respite can be a regularly scheduled shift of 2 hours or more, as the primary caregiver requests or can be scheduled with a 24-hour notice. If an emergency should come up, we can provide respite care with very short notice.
At A Spectrum of Care, we are always willing to work with our clients to provide respite care so the primary caregiver can have the time they need to recharge and regroup and come back ready to continue the care that they give their loved ones.

Our mission is to provide the most compassionate and flexible services to each and every person in need.
